Biographical Sketch: Dr. Philip Cox received a PhD in Electrochemistry from Southampton University in England 1986 and an MBA from Santa Clara University in 1989. Dr. Cox has over 18 years experience in the development of electrochemical and materials technologies. He has been at PolyFuel for 7 years and held various positions. He has worked on systems development, MEA development as well as membrane development. He is currently vice president of product development with responsibility for DMFC membrane development. Prior to joining PolyFuel Dr. Cox was a program Manger at SRI International where he had responsibility for various research and development programs focused on a wide range of electrochemical and materials technologies. These include the development of fuel cell membranes for hydrogen and DMFC applications, battery technologies including lithium ion and lithium polymer systems and ultracapacitors.
