Biographical Sketch:
- Sunita Satyapal is Chief Engineer and Deputy Program Manager of the United States Department of Energy (DOE) Hydrogen Program, which includes a portfolio of activities addressing the technological, institutional, and economic barriers to the development and deployment of hydrogen and fuel cell technologies.
- Dr. Satyapal received a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Bryn Mawr College and a doctorate from Columbia University, and conducted research as a postdoctoral associate at Cornell University in the Department of Applied & Engineering Physics.
- She joined DOE five years ago after eight years in industry, where she managed R&D groups at United Technologies Research Center and UTC Fuel Cells. Most recently at DOE, she has been serving as the lead for the National Hydrogen Storage Project, planned at $150 million over 5 years.
